Finally, the reaction: Milk chocolate makes a comeback, all fancy and legitimized.
Yay!

Stephen King weighs in on our culture of violence and the Band-Aid-on-a-gaping-wound bill moving through the MA state legislature that seeks to address it by restricting the sale of videogames.
From the page: "It was too easy for critics to claim --falsely, it turned out-- that Cho Seung-Hui (the Virginia Tech killer) was a fan of Counter-Strike; I just wish to God that legislators were as eager to point out that this nutball had no problem obtaining a 9mm semiautomatic handgun. Cho used it in a rampage that resulted in the murder of 32 people. If he'd been stuck with nothing but a plastic videogame gun, he wouldn't even have been able to kill himself."

Oh sweet Jesus. This is truly hilarious... and a little frightening. A Greek Super Idol contestant squeals his way through an audition.

Thanks a bunch, W.
From the page: "The IMF admits that the global downturn might be still more severe than it is currently predicting, and says that there is a one in four chance of a "global recession" when world growth falls below 3%.
"The financial market crisis that erupted in August 2007 has developed into the largest financial shock since the Great Depression," the report says."

From the page: "For example, observational studies of people who eat foods rich in antioxidants like vitamins A and E and beta-carotene have suggested these substances improve health. But well-designed clinical trials found increased death rates among people who take them as supplements. And while low vitamin C doses can suppress harmful free radicals, very high doses promote their formation. The initial promise that vitamin E could protect against heart attacks and cancer failed to stand up to scientific scrutiny, which instead found that it increased the risk of heart failure."
